The School of Art & Design is committed to providing expanded access to current communication and information processing technologies for all faculty, staff and students — and to utilizing the advantages of these technologies throughout all aspects of the School.
With this goal in mind, all full-time faculty, staff, and graduate students have been issued laptop computers, peripheral devices, and an extensive bundle of software. In 2003, the School of Art & Design began requiring all entering first-year undergraduate students to purchase a bundle of hardware and software components.
This site contains information and resources helpful to faculty, staff, and students in using computers and other information technology at the school.
The Frequently Asked Questions section contains questions (and answers) to help address common problems.
The Laptop Initiative section contains descriptions of each of the laptop bundles distributed to students since 2003, and information on available updates.
Use the Network Access form to request access for an ethernet connection in the A&A building, or at one of our satellite studios.
