Connecting 2008: 2nd Annual A&D Alumni Show
Now in its second year, the annual University of Michigan School of Art & Design Alumni Exhibition reconnects alumni from across the country, demonstrates the richness of our creative work, and supports undergraduate scholarships.
We had such a great response to last year's Alumni Show that it will now be an annual event! If you haven't seen the online gallery from last year's exhibition yet,

Important Dates
Please Note: All deadline dates are firm. No exceptions!
- Friday, May 16: Deadline for entry form and fee
- Saturday, June 14: Art/design work due at Slusser Gallery (Drop off dates - June 13 and 14)
- Friday, July 11: Alumni Show opens to public at both Slusser & Work • Ann Arbor
- Wednesday, July 16 through Saturday, July 19: Ann Arbor Art Fair
- Friday, July 18: Opening Reception at Slusser Gallery 6 to 9 pm
- Friday, August 8: Exhibition closes
Entry Guidelines
- The show will not be juried.
- You may submit only ONE piece. Please Note: Given limited wall space and installation time, we CANNOT accept work that consists of multiple units.
- An artist statement or explanation of the piece MUST accompany your submission and will be mounted beside your work. Statements must not exceed 50 words. If you have a website, please add the URL to your statement.
- All 2-D work must arrive framed and ready to hang with wire...NO claw hooks on the back.
- All work MUST be for sale.
- We are asking for a 20% donation to the Scholarship Fund for work sold at the show.
- There will be a $20 entry fee (to be submitted with your entry form) to help defray costs. Make checks payable to UM School of Art & Design.

- Entry forms and fees MUST be postmarked on or before Friday, May 16, 2008
- Entries will be acknowledged and more details sent to participants in a timely manner.
- Awards: One People's Choice Award, and four Best of Show Awards. Details to follow.
- We will need many volunteer gallery attendants again this year, so please sign up on the entry form.
- Show t-shirts will be available. Volunteers will get a shirt free. Non-volunteers can purchase shirts for $20.00 each and we will mail out shirts as soon as they arrive.
